This dive site offers two exciting wreck dives in Gozo, Malta. The location is accessible by boat and shore. It’s suitable for experienced scuba divers who have completed Deep Specialty and Wreck Penetration training. The Karwela wreck, approximately 50 meters long, sits upright on a sandy bottom at depths ranging from 39 to 41 meters. The top deck, including the captain's cabin, begins at 30 meters. The wreck features several openings for penetration and boasts three decks with a photogenic staircase leading down to the lower deck, illuminated by portholes. A 1-hour surface interval is typically provided between dives, and DiveBase Team often plans a second dive on the adjacent MV Cominoland wreck. This site offers a rewarding experience exploring a well-preserved wreck.
