This dive site is a popular shore dive located at the southern end of Juara beach on Tioman Island. It begins with a sandy bottom that gradually slopes into a vibrant coral reef, featuring large coral boulders and areas of river rock. Navigation is straightforward, following the natural contours of the reef from the shore.
The marine life here is diverse, including Trevally, Barracuda, various Coral Fish, Puffer fish, and Porcupine fish. The coral formations consist of large boulder, branching, and brain corals. Other notable species encountered are Cowtail Rays, Whip Rays, Green and Hawksbill Turtles, and Blacktip Sharks.
Juara Bay South is suitable for diving year-round, with the peak season generally from May to September offering the calmest conditions. Its shallow average depth and diverse marine life make it an excellent spot for beginner divers, snorkelers, and freedivers alike. Divers should be mindful of potential surge from waves.
