This dive site is located at an elevation of 900 meters, situated at the foot of Mount Fuji, a World Heritage Site. Lake Motosu offers exceptional freshwater diving opportunities due to its high degree of transparency. This lake, notable for being one of the quietest and most relaxing within the Fuji Five Lakes region – where powerboats are restricted – provides more than just diving; it’s also a destination for canoeing, fishing, barbecues, and camping. It holds historical significance as the model used when depicting the upside-down Mount Fuji on the reverse side of the 1,000 yen bill. The clear waters make it ideal for experiencing high-altitude diving.
