This dive site, Inan South, is conveniently located just a 10-minute boat ride from Toya Fishery Port in Japan. With a comfortable depth range of 5m to 18m and an average depth of 8m, it is known for its exceptionally calm conditions with virtually no current. These factors make it an ideal and welcoming spot for beginning divers and snorkelers to explore the underwater world.
Inan South is famously dubbed 'Kumanomi (Anemone Fish) Paradise,' a nickname it truly earns due to the remarkable abundance and diversity of anemone fish species found here. Beyond the vibrant anemone fish, divers can also observe various garden eels gracefully swaying from the sandy bottom and seek out rare species of gobies. Divers should be mindful of rock fishes, which cleverly camouflage themselves within the sandy bed.
This dive site offers a consistently enjoyable experience throughout the year thanks to its sheltered nature. It is highly recommended for macro photographers due to its rich small marine life and for new divers building confidence. Freedivers will also appreciate the shallow, calm, and clear waters. Always maintain good buoyancy to protect the delicate marine environment and avoid disturbing camouflaged bottom dwellers.
