This dive site is located near Cannigione, on the east side of Caprera Island in Italy. A 20-minute boat ride takes you to the dive entry point. The dive involves navigating through a rocky landscape teeming with marine life, culminating in a small cavern at 12-5 meters. Divers will explore crevices and swim through diverse rock formations rich in small critters.
The abundant marine life includes nudibranchs, octopuses, groupers, dentex, and with luck, even tuna and dolphins. The rocky areas are also likely to harbour other smaller species of fish and invertebrates, making it a good location for macro photography.
The best time to visit is likely during the warmer months (May-October) when visibility is generally better, and the sea is calmer. Divers should be comfortable navigating in moderate depths and familiar with underwater navigation techniques. Freedivers should exercise caution near the cavern entrance and be mindful of their depth limits, especially if they are approaching the deeper parts of the dive site.
