This dive site, Anse Crawen, is nestled at the western end of Terre de Haut island, forming part of the picturesque Les Saintes archipelago. As one of the island's most beautiful beaches, it offers an easily accessible underwater landscape primarily navigated by following the natural contours of its vibrant reef. The site is characterized by a healthy reef ecosystem extending from the shallows, making it straightforward to explore for divers and snorkelers alike without complex navigation.
Beneath the surface, the reef is adorned with lush gorgonians and expansive seagrass beds, providing a rich habitat for diverse marine life. Visitors can expect to encounter various reef fish, colorful cushion starfish, and, most notably, graceful green sea turtles frequently grazing in the seagrass meadows.
Anse Crawen is an excellent year-round destination, particularly appealing during the drier months from December to May when the weather is most stable. Its shallow depth and gentle conditions make it a perfect spot for introductory dives, snorkeling, and freediving, offering a relaxed environment to observe marine life and enjoy the Caribbean's natural beauty.
