This dive site, Mabouya Garden, is a vibrant sea-garden located on the north side of Mabouya Island in Carriacou, Grenada. It features a spectacular and healthy reef wall, with depths ranging from a shallow 5 meters (15 feet) to a maximum of 17 meters (60 feet), making it accessible for a wide range of divers. The underwater topography offers an easy navigation along the wall and through the garden-like reef formations.
This site is renowned for its vast variety of marine life. Divers can expect to encounter an abundance of fish, a diverse range of eels, majestic nurse sharks, graceful turtles, and impressive eagle rays. The reef itself is in excellent condition, teeming with corals and other invertebrates that support this rich ecosystem, creating a truly 'mindblowing' experience.
Mabouya Garden is suitable for both scuba divers and freedivers, with its comfortable depths and rich scenery. While no specific "best time" is mentioned, the dry season (typically December to May) generally offers the best weather and underwater conditions in the Caribbean. Its serene environment and stunning biodiversity make it an ideal spot for underwater photography and marine life observation.
