This dive site, Les Jardins de Salomon, is located on the slopes of Cape Solomon in Martinique, France and consists of three distinct coral gardens. Navigation is relatively straightforward, following the sloping reef structure. The gardens are known for their vibrant colors and rich biodiversity, offering a delightful dive experience for all levels.
The marine life is abundant, showcasing a variety of colorful fish such as surgeonfish and trumpetfish. Lush fields of gorgonians and sponges provide habitat for numerous smaller creatures. Divers can also encounter larger animals, like spotted eagle rays.
The best time to visit is during the dry season (generally from December to May) when visibility is at its best, and calmer sea conditions prevail. While this site is suitable for both snorkeling and freediving, divers should be aware of their limits and maintain safe diving practices. Remember to practice buoyancy control to avoid damaging the delicate coral formations.
