This dive site, known as JARDINS DU PRECHEUR (the Preacher's Gardens), is situated approximately 15 minutes by boat from the local UCPA center. Divers navigate around intriguing rock piles that commence at a depth of 10 meters, eventually leading to a dramatic drop-off that plunges to a maximum depth of 45 meters. The site's primary dive envelope typically stays within 20 meters, making the shallower sections easily accessible.
The marine life here is vibrant and diverse. Notably, the site boasts a plethora of solar anemones, which in turn host numerous shrimp, making it an excellent spot for macro photography. In terms of larger inhabitants, divers can frequently encounter black triggerfish, barracuda, and black gorette, adding to the visual spectacle.
JARDINS DU PRECHEUR is an appealing destination for divers of all levels and is suitable for year-round exploration, given Martinique's consistent tropical climate. The blend of shallow rock gardens and a deeper wall makes it particularly attractive for both scuba divers and freedivers seeking varied experiences. Its rich macro life and pelagic sightings provide excellent photographic opportunities.
