This dive site, Torfa Sabaa, located in Egypt's Red Sea, offers a unique entry experience through a natural hole in the reef top directly into the vibrant reef at 6 meters depth. Divers then explore a beautiful coral garden interspersed with single reef blocks. The site doesn't have a known historical narrative but provides a straightforward and enjoyable dive through its well-preserved reef structure.
The diverse marine life includes sightings of majestic eagle rays and playful dolphins. The reef is also home to lionfish, schools of tuna, impressive napoleon wrasse, and large giant moray eels. The beautiful coral garden itself boasts a variety of hard and soft corals, providing shelter and sustenance for countless smaller reef inhabitants.
The Red Sea generally offers good diving conditions year-round, making Torfa Sabaa accessible for most of the year. The relatively shallow average depth of 9 meters and a maximum of 19 meters makes it ideal for both scuba divers and freedivers looking to explore a pristine coral environment. Snorkelers can also enjoy the reef top and shallower areas.
