Tobia Arbaa, also known as the Seven Pillars, is a unique dive site located just a 12-minute speedboat ride from the base. It’s characterized by an impressive sight of seven pillars rising from the seabed, gradually emerging to a depth range of 10 to 12 meters and almost touching the surface. While some refer to five prominent peaks, the overall structure provides both interesting topography and abundant marine life. The site features a shallow sandy bottom with a south slope where mooring is available.
The area around the pillars is covered in small, vibrant coral formations, particularly soft corals adorned with anthias and glassfish, creating a rich habitat. This makes it a particularly appealing location for photographers and videographers. Napoleon wrasses are frequently observed, often posing for wide-angle shots, while nudibranchs provide excellent subjects for macro photography. Divers can also spot lionfish and jacks actively chasing schools of silversides, and turtles are often seen here. The diverse array of fish species and captivating subjects make for a fantastic setting to capture stunning underwater images.
