This dive site is located directly in front of the Circle Divers center at the Jazz Dahabeya Hotel in Dahab, Egypt, making it incredibly convenient for divers of all levels. The entry is easy from the sandy shore, and the dive progresses through a relatively shallow area, making it ideal for beginners. The reef structure consists of coral blocks interspersed with seagrass, providing plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.
The marine life is surprisingly diverse for such an easily accessible site. You can expect to see a variety of fish including scorpionfish, white moray eels, stonefish, leopard rays, and triggerfish. The seagrass beds attract smaller invertebrates, while the coral blocks offer shelter to a range of reef fish. Depending on the season, you might even encounter some larger species.
The best time to visit is likely during the warmer months (spring and autumn), when visibility tends to be at its best and the water temperature is more comfortable. Even during the summer the dive remains very pleasant. For freediving, this site offers easy access to reasonable depth and an abundance of things to see. Divers should pay attention to their buoyancy to avoid disturbing the delicate seagrass and coral formations. Remember to maintain a safe distance from any potentially dangerous marine life.
