This dive site features a unique underwater sculpture, Dumbo – an elephant statue placed here as a quirky protest by former Dive Lodge employees. The story behind Dumbo is quite remarkable; the manager’s beloved statue was ‘elephant-napped,’ chained to the reef, and filmed being dropped into the abyss before their resignations were sent. Despite the chain rusting away, Dumbo remains, presiding over his underwater realm. To reach him, descend to the bottom of a sloped miniwall – he's located just a short swim south. He’s often partially obscured by algae and coral, blending seamlessly into the reef; look for him at approximately 80 feet on a small ledge. Beyond Dumbo, the area offers a striking contrast with multiple ledges, providing resting spots and habitat for Surgeonfish, Butterflyfish, and Damselfish. The overall environment is quite interesting and visually appealing.
