This dive site, Angel City, offers a fantastic introduction to diving and snorkeling on the island. Its location near shore and relatively gentle slope make it ideal for beginners. Upon entering the water, you’ll find a yellow mooring buoy approximately 25 meters from the beach – use this as your starting point. The reef system is double in nature; the first reef begins at a shallow depth of 4.5 meters and gradually descends to around 15 meters. This initial section is suitable for Open Water divers. Continuing further, you’ll discover a second reef accessible within 18 meters. A sandy patch separates these reefs, bridged by coral formations that serve as helpful navigational markers. The area is rich in diverse coral life, including both hard and soft corals, with notable concentrations of gorgonian and star corals. Expect to encounter an abundance of marine life, such as angelfish, parrots, triggerfish, filefish, and schools of grey snappers.
