This dive site is a confined, shallow water area perfect for freediving training and practice. The even, sandy bottom allows for easy standing and skill execution. The site's 200m length allows for long DYN freediving setups, with up to 50m runs being easily accommodated within the sheltered bay or cove. This protected area ensures calm conditions and promotes the thriving local marine life.
Common sights include large schools of breams and mullets, offering excellent opportunities for underwater photography. Divers may also observe other smaller fish species, typical of Turkish coastal waters. The sand bottom lacks significant coral or other complex underwater features, making it less visually striking from a landscape perspective but ideal for focused freediving training and species observation.
The best time to visit is likely during the warmer months (May-October) when water temperatures are pleasant and marine life is most active. Visibility is generally better during calmer periods, and conditions are ideal for both beginners and experienced freedivers honing their skills. Remember to practice safe freediving techniques and be aware of your limits, as the absence of strong currents and the shallow depth don't remove inherent risks of the activity.
