This dive site, Koh Man Nai Jetty, is situated approximately 5 km from Makharm Pom Pier in Thailand, directly beneath the island's dock. It benefits from its proximity to a Sea Turtle Conservation Center, offering visitors educational insights into turtle nurseries and ongoing research. Dives here begin in a shallow area around 2 meters and gently slope to a maximum depth of 8 meters, covering a bottom composed of both sandy patches and hard coral groups.
Despite its relatively shallow profile, the site is remarkably vibrant with marine life, particularly excelling in macro subjects. Divers can anticipate encountering a diverse array of creatures including seahorses, barracudas, various types of shells, octopuses, pipefish, crabs, snake eels, giant clams, and a notable presence of nudibranchs, making it a compelling spot for macro photography enthusiasts.
The best time to visit this dive site generally aligns with Thailand's dry season, typically from November to May, which often brings calmer waters and clearer visibility. Its accessible depths and calm conditions make it an excellent choice for beginner divers, snorkelers, and freedivers. The adjacent Sea Turtle Sanctuary adds a unique and enriching conservation aspect to the diving experience.
