This dive site, Gipsi, is located on the left bank of Lake Thun near Leissigen, offering a convenient freshwater diving experience. It features easy shore access via a ladder, complemented by covered parking under a bridge for dry equipment preparation. Divers can explore in either direction, towards Interlaken or Thun, enjoying a relatively straightforward navigation.

The Gipsunion site is renowned for its rich aquatic life. Divers frequently encounter numerous igloos, often schooling in various sizes, alongside pike, crayfish, and clams. While less common, sightings of lake trout are also possible, adding to the diversity of this freshwater ecosystem.

This site is suitable for diving throughout the year, making it a reliable destination for local divers. Its ease of access and moderate depth make it highly recommended for beginners and also well-suited for freediving.
