This dive site is located in a sheltered bay behind the Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. The entry is via a convenient ramp, making it easily accessible for all divers. The underwater topography is relatively flat and sandy, making navigation straightforward. There is little to no current, making it a very safe and tranquil dive experience, perfect for those wanting to practice skills or simply enjoy a relaxed dive.
The marine life is diverse, although not abundant in large numbers. Common sightings include various small coastal fish, and there's a chance of spotting more interesting creatures such as angel sharks, stingrays, octopus, and arrow crabs. The seabed itself may hold some interesting invertebrate life, offering opportunities for macro photography.
The best time to visit is during the warmer months (spring and summer) when water temperatures are most pleasant and visibility is typically at its best. Divers should be aware that while the site is generally calm, weather conditions can change, and it's recommended to check the forecast before diving. For freedivers, the shallow depth and calm conditions make this an excellent training location. Remember to always dive within your limits and have a buddy.
