This dive site, known as La Calita, offers a truly remarkable experience steeped in history. Over 500 years ago, twenty-five Spanish galleons sank here, creating a fascinating underwater landscape. The site is characterized by vibrant orange coral walls and sandy areas teeming with unusual rays, rat-finned fish, and silvery species. Divers will also discover a beautiful garden of sponges and a variety of other marine life including groupers and octopuses. A highlight of the dive is a large rock formation that serves as a natural cleaning station for luna moths – witnessing these amazing creatures undergoing parasite removal is a common sight. Visibility can be excellent, creating an immersive underwater environment.
