This dive site, known as El Jardín de las Ánforas (The Garden of Amphoras), is a fascinating underwater archaeological area located just a 10-minute boat ride north of Ciudadela port. After anchoring and deploying a safety tank, divers descend to explore the scattered remains of ancient amphoras, providing a unique historical backdrop to the dive. The site's topography, characterized by these ancient artifacts, creates an intriguing underwater landscape that appeals to divers of varying experience levels, with depths ranging from shallow areas to the maximum of 22 meters.
The diverse marine life encountered here includes white seabreams, two-banded seabreams, damselfishs, groupers, gilthead breams, painted combers, moray eels, thicklip grey mullets, mottled groupers, meagres, and ornate wrasses. These species contribute to a vibrant ecosystem, making the site engaging for both macro observation and general reef exploration. The presence of larger fish like groupers and meagres adds to the richness of the marine biodiversity.
