This dive site is Cala Tí Ximo, a beautiful and somewhat hidden rocky cove nestled along the steep coastline of eastern Benidorm. It's characterized by its exceptionally translucent water and rugged rocky beds, offering an intriguing underwater landscape. Divers and snorkelers can explore these rocky formations and navigate a small, flooded cave, making it an excellent spot for leisurely exploration rather than complex navigation.
The marine life here, while not focused on large pelagics, is vibrant with smaller creatures. You can expect to encounter Mediterranean cardinalfish, small groupers hiding amongst the rocks, and an abundance of colorful crabs, particularly within the small cave. Patches of Posidonia seagrass also provide shelter and food for various species.
Cala Tí Ximo is ideal for year-round visits, though the warmer months offer the most comfortable conditions. Its shallow maximum depth of 6 meters makes it perfectly suited for beginners, snorkelers, and freedivers looking to enjoy a relaxed experience. It's a fantastic location for underwater photography, particularly macro subjects, and for those who appreciate detailed exploration of rock formations and small caverns.
