This dive site features a shallow reef characterized by sponges and soft corals. The area is known for its dynamic underwater conditions due to the influence of swells, making it an exciting but potentially challenging experience. Divers can expect to encounter a diverse array of marine life including turtles, various game fish species, firefish, rays, and even larger sharks such as giant sand sharks, paperfish, pipefish, and scorpionfish. During the summer months (December through March), pregnant sand tiger sharks, grey nurse sharks, and spotted ragged-tooth sharks frequently visit the reef to gestate. To protect these vulnerable animals, a quarter-mile radius around the reef is closed to diving during this period while they are monitored. This location offers the possibility of observing fascinating shark behavior and contributes to marine conservation efforts.
