This dive site is the indoor 25m swimming pool at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Ljubljana, primarily utilized as a controlled environment for organized freediving and scuba diving courses. The pool features both a deeper section suitable for teaching fundamental scuba diving skills and a shallower area ideal for beginners to experience their first breaths underwater with scuba gear. Navigation within the pool is straightforward, confined to the marked lanes.
As an artificial indoor facility, this dive site does not host any natural marine animals or plant life. The focus here is entirely on human aquatic training and skill development, rather than observing biodiversity.
The pool is an excellent year-round destination for dive training, offering consistent, predictable conditions regardless of external weather. Highlights include the ability to practice skills without environmental distractions and the opportunity for structured instruction. Tips for divers and freedivers include focusing on mastering techniques, buoyancy control, and breath-hold skills in a safe and monitored setting before venturing into open water.
