This dive site is located in a remote, little-visited bay on the northwest coast of Assumption Island, part of the Aldabra Group in Seychelles. It offers a sheltered and calm environment, making it ideal for relaxed exploration. Underwater navigation is straightforward around the visible coral patches that lie in front of the beach, making it very accessible.
The marine life is vibrant and easily observed, even at shallow depths. Divers and snorkelers can expect to encounter numerous fusiliers, sweetlips, angelfish, and a multitude of other colorful fish species swimming around the healthy coral patches.
The best time to visit Assumption Island for diving and snorkeling is generally during the calmer inter-monsoon periods (April-May and October-November) when seas are flat and visibility is at its peak. Given its maximum depth of 6 meters, this site is perfectly suited for beginners, snorkelers, and freedivers seeking a tranquil and fish-rich experience.
