This dive site, known as Blue House, is the vibrant house reef of Sea Dream Resort, established in 2019 and rapidly gaining recognition as one of the premier diving spots on the coast. It features a diverse topography including a flat seagrass meadow, a sandy slope, scattered coral blocks, and extensive artificial structures crafted from metal and concrete. The artificial reef components are intentionally placed to foster marine life, creating a complex underwater landscape that seamlessly transitions into natural coral reefs towards the south, with another reef beginning at 25 meters.
Blue House is particularly renowned as a macro dive site, offering incredible opportunities to spot small wonders like various snails and elusive frogfish. In the shallower sections, divers and snorkelers can frequently encounter batfish, unique Pegasusfishes, and graceful turtles. The artificial reef structures are beautifully overgrown with a rich array of soft corals, providing both shelter and food for a myriad of marine inhabitants.
The best time to visit this dive site for macro photography and general diving is generally year-round, as the Philippines offers consistent conditions. Divers should focus on exploring the artificial reef elements and the transition zones to the natural reefs for the most diverse encounters. Its shallow maximum depth and mild currents make it an excellent choice for beginners, underwater photographers, and freedivers seeking a relaxed yet rewarding experience.
