This dive site, Bill's Bumps, is located on the west wall of Fahal Island, a roughly 30-minute boat ride from the mainland. The site features a wall with shallow areas containing tunnels and holes to explore. Navigation is relatively straightforward, following the wall and exploring the shallow areas as desired. There is no known specific history or story attached to the naming of Bill's Bumps.
The site is teeming with marine life. Divers can expect to see a wide variety of triggerfish, butterflyfish, sea turtles, moray eels, rays, and numerous other fish species. The shallow areas offer opportunities for spotting smaller creatures among the coral and rock formations.
The best time to visit is during the warmer months (October to May), when the water is calm and visibility is typically excellent. For freedivers, the shallower sections provide ample opportunities for exploration. Divers should be aware of potential mild currents, especially closer to the deeper sections of the wall. Strong currents are unlikely, but situational awareness is advised.
