This dive site, known as Goese Sas, is characterized by significant tidal currents, making diving possible and safe only during low tide. Divers must navigate by moving slightly away from the shore before low tide and slightly back towards the shore during low tide itself. Attempting to dive here at high tide is considered dangerous due to the strength of the currents, which could pose a serious risk to divers.
Between depths of 5 and 20 meters, the seabed offers a vibrant ecosystem, nicely covered with extensive beds of oysters and mussels. Divers can expect to encounter a variety of local marine life, including various crabs, lobsters, butterfish, hermit crabs, and toads, providing ample opportunities for macro photography and observing smaller creatures.
The best and only recommended time to visit this dive site is during low tide. Divers should meticulously plan their dives around the tide schedule to ensure safety. It is strongly advised to avoid diving at high tide due to the dangerous currents. While suitable for experienced divers familiar with tidal diving, it is not recommended for snorkeling or freediving given the current conditions and depth.
