This dive site, known as Diamond Rock, is a famous landmark off the coast of Saba. It rests on a flat, sandy bottom, allowing for easy circumnavigation near its base. Divers can navigate by following the rock's perimeter, encountering marine life in the sand, or venturing into the canyon on its northeast side. This canyon offers a dynamic multi-level profile, spiraling upwards and providing an engaging route for exploration.
The diverse marine life at Diamond Rock includes Southern Stingrays, often spotted gliding across the sandy bottom, and Furry Sea Cucumbers. The canyon area is a prime location to observe larger species such as sharks, schools of Horse Eye Jacks, and a variety of other reef fish.
Diamond Rock is suitable for diving year-round, offering excellent opportunities for both wide-angle photography and general marine life observation. Its multi-level nature makes it ideal for divers of all experience levels, including freedivers, who can explore shallower sections, while scuba divers can descend to deeper parts of the canyon. Always be mindful of currents, especially in the canyon area.
