About this dive site

This dive site presents the HMS Hellespont, a World War II wreck located off the coast of Valletta, Malta. The ship was scuttled during an air raid in April 1942 and subsequently moved to Rinella for final placement. Discovered in 1999, it now rests approximately 1.5 kilometers from the Grand Harbour Entrance. The wreck sits upright on a sandy seabed at an average depth of 35 meters, with a maximum depth of 41 meters. Approximately 15 meters of the bow section have been destroyed. Despite this damage, much of the ship remains intact. Access to the site is by boat only and is suitable for experienced divers.
