Cirkewwa - Susie's Pool

This dive site, known as Susie's Pool, is located in Cirkewwa, Malta. It offers a gentle introduction to diving for beginners, featuring a rocky plateau reaching a shallow depth of 6 meters. The area provides an ideal warm-up before embarking on longer dives around the island. A notable feature is a steep drop-off leading to approximately 30 meters. Halfway along this wall resides a statue of Our Lady (Madonna), housed within a small cave at a depth of 18 meters. This statue was placed in November 1987 by the Amphibians Diving Club, and commemorative plaques were added in 2007 and again in 2017 with a small crib beside it. The site’s history is intertwined with this local diving club and their ongoing efforts to maintain and celebrate this unique underwater landmark.
