This dive site, Tiga Ruang, derives its name from the adjacent beach. It features a predominantly sandy bottom that gently slopes into deeper waters, punctuated by numerous coral clusters in its shallower sections. Navigation is straightforward due to the shallow depths and clear features, making it ideal for introductory dives and training.
Divers can expect to encounter a variety of reef fishes, including Coral Grouper, Damselfish, and Lionfish, among others. The coral formations are vibrant, with abundant Table Corals and Staghorn Corals providing shelter and food for the marine inhabitants.
The best time to visit Tiga Ruang is generally during Malaysia's dry season, typically from March to October, when water conditions are calmest and visibility is at its peak. Its shallow depths and gentle environment make it an excellent spot for new scuba divers to gain confidence and for freedivers to practice their skills.
