This dive site, Zamami Lighthouse, is located under the lighthouse on the northeast side of Zamami Island. It features a calm cove with depths ranging from 3 to 22 meters, making it exceptionally well-suited for beginner divers. Underwater, divers can explore intriguing rock walls that conceal numerous crevasses and caves, often illuminated by captivating sunbeams penetrating the water.
The site boasts a rich and diverse marine ecosystem. Year-round sightings include snappers, goys, and isobana. During the summer months, large schools of snapper gather, attracting predatory fish. Other notable residents include silverback sea bream, scorpionfish, bluefin trevally, goatfish, butterflyfish, and various macro life such as anemone crabs and frigate shrimp.
The best time to visit for peak activity is during the summer to witness large snapper schools and predatory fish. However, a wealth of marine life is present year-round. Its calm, shallow areas make it ideal for both snorkeling and freediving, offering excellent opportunities to explore the vibrant ecosystem and unique underwater topography without extensive training.
