This dive site combines two popular wreck dives in Eilat, Israel: The Stail and Yetush wrecks. Divers typically start from the shore and navigate between the two wrecks, often swimming a considerable distance. The dive is characterized by a relatively long swim, necessitating careful air management and planning, hence the intermediate rating. The choice of direction (north to south or vice versa) depends on the conditions and diver preferences.
The area between the wrecks is teeming with marine life, including seahorses, nudibranchs, and a variety of colorful fish. The deeper sections offer chances for spotting rays in the blue water. Diverse coral formations further enhance the underwater landscape and provide excellent habitat for smaller creatures.
The best time to visit is during the warmer months (May-October) when water temperatures are more comfortable and visibility is typically at its best. It's advisable to check current conditions before embarking on this dive, as variable currents are occasionally a factor. For scuba divers, good buoyancy control and comfortable experience are highly recommended due to the length of the swim. This dive is not recommended for freediving due to its depth.
