This dive site, known as Eilat IUI מתקני, is located in the Red Sea's northwest corner, easily accessible from Kisuski beach. It features the intriguing remains of what was intended to be an underwater restaurant, now transformed into a thriving artificial reef. Divers begin with a 20-meter swim from shore to reach the site, navigating around the building's structure at various depths, typically between 7 and 14 meters. The unique history of a failed underwater venture adds a special charm to this accessible dive.
The site boasts a very rich marine ecosystem, supporting a wide array of soft and hard corals. It is teeming with various fish species, making it an excellent spot for macro and wide-angle photography. Common sightings include fascinating creatures like Stonefishes, Lionfishes, Glassfishes, Frogfish, and Octopus. The diversity of life makes every dive a unique exploration.
Eilat offers year-round diving conditions due to its generally warm climate. This site is particularly suitable for beginners due to its shallow maximum depth and easy shore entry. Freedivers and snorkelers will also find it rewarding, given the abundant marine life and corals present in the shallower parts. Photographers should bring macro lenses to capture the intricate small subjects, while wide-angle can be used to capture the structure.
