This dive site, located in front of the village on Bunaken Island, is locally known as 'turtle city'. This nickname reflects the abundant population of Green and Hawksbill sea turtles that frequent the area. The site features a permanent mooring line near a sandy sloping bay. Diving begins with a gradual descent into a steep sloping wall characterized by sandy patches. You’ll likely encounter shrimp, lionfish, or leaf scorpionfish hiding amongst the sand. Continuing along the wall, diverse reef fish, corals, and sponges thrive, alongside smaller creatures like nudibranchs, flatworms, crabs, and shrimp. Large schools of Pyramid Butterflyfish and Red Tooth Triggerfish are commonly observed near the wall, and with luck, you might spot a Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Eagle Ray, or a small reef shark passing by. The current is generally mild to medium, sometimes experiencing very slight up-and-down movement.
