This dive site, known as Bama Wall or The Great wall, is a highly regarded location near Bama village on Pantar Island. This dramatic wall descends to a maximum depth of 60 meters and offers an exciting but challenging dive experience. It’s characterized by sloping reefs abundant with both hard and soft corals, creating a vibrant underwater ecosystem. Divers frequently encounter schools of reef fish, and larger pelagic species such as Napoleon Wrasse, Whitetip Reef Shark, and Dogtooth Tuna are often spotted passing through the area. Due to strong currents, timing is crucial; diving during slack high tide, preferably before noon, is recommended for optimal safety and enjoyment. Careful navigation and awareness of current conditions are essential.
