This dive site, aptly named Canyon Reef, features dramatic underwater canyons carved into the reef structure. These canyons extend from the shallow areas at the reef top – typically between 15 and 20 feet deep – down to a significant drop-off reaching depths of 50 to 70 feet along the reef walls. Many of these channels exhibit distinctive overhangs, either partially or entirely closed off, suggesting a history of flowing water. The area boasts an abundant variety of hard corals and impressive colonies of Wire Coral, some measuring up to 10 feet in length. The formations provide a visually stunning dive experience.
