This dive site, Balise de Petit Canal, is located in the beautiful turquoise waters of a bay in Guadeloupe, situated between Petit-Bourg and Petit-Canal. The central feature is a red and white buoy, the underwater structure of which serves as an artificial reef, teeming with marine life and making navigation straightforward for divers. The surrounding area features natural coral formations.
The site boasts an impressive array of marine animals. Divers can expect to encounter sergeant-major, blue and gray chromis, damselfish, squirrelfish, snappers, porkfish, barracudas, stingrays, eagle rays, grunts, hamlets, groupers, parrotfish, hogfish, wrasse, and angelfish. The vibrant coral areas provide a rich habitat for these diverse species.
Being a shallow site with an average depth of 4 meters and a maximum of 8 meters, Balise de Petit Canal is ideal for year-round diving, especially for beginners and those looking for a relaxing, easy dive.
