This dive site features the King Mitch, a large 70-meter (200 ft) ex-minesweeper that was converted into a cargo vessel. It rests on its starboard side with its stern facing the prevailing current, at a maximum depth of 38 meters (125 ft), with its shallowest point at around 30 meters (100 ft). Divers navigate along the wreck, exploring its structure and the surrounding seabed.
Due to the depth and exposure to strong currents, the site hosts more robust hard corals than soft corals. The primary marine attractions are large pelagic schools, particularly barracuda and majestic Eagle Rays, which are frequently sighted around the wreck.
The King Mitch is best visited during periods of stable weather, though pelagic sightings can be year-round. Divers should be experienced and comfortable with deep diving and strong currents. Freedivers and snorkelers are not recommended due to the significant depth and challenging conditions.
