This dive site is the stern section of the Courier wreck, resting upside down at an average depth of 8 meters, with a maximum of 16 meters. It landed here after falling off a transport barge and rolling from the top of the reef. Divers can explore the main stern section, engine block, and various scattered hull plates, offering an intriguing navigation through its broken structures.
The wreck is a vibrant habitat for diverse marine life. Divers can frequently encounter barracuda patrolling the site, alongside various lobsters and shrimps tucked into crevices. Nudibranchs are often spotted, and very occasionally, lucky divers might find seahorses nestled within the soft corals growing on the wreck.
The best time to visit this site aligns with Grenada's dry season, typically from January to May, offering calmer seas and optimal visibility. Its shallow depth makes it an excellent choice for beginner divers, while freedivers will find it highly suitable for exploring the wreck without extensive bottom time. It's also a great spot for macro photography due to the abundance of small creatures.
