This dive site, TauchRevier Gasometer, stands as Europe's largest indoor diving training center. Housed within a massive gasometer 45 meters in diameter and reaching a maximum water depth of 13 meters, it contains 21 million liters of water. The site is primarily designed for teaching a wide range of diving courses, offering a controlled and predictable environment for training, further education, or simply enjoyable fun dives and equipment testing. Underwater, divers can expect various platforms and structures typical of a training facility, rather than natural topography.
As an artificial indoor facility, TauchRevier Gasometer does not host natural marine animals or plant life. The environment is entirely man-made, focusing on simulating open water conditions for skill development without the presence of wildlife.
The dive site is suitable for year-round diving due to its indoor nature, with water temperatures ranging from 6 to 26 degrees Celsius depending on the season. Visibility is a major highlight, often reaching up to 25 meters. It is an ideal location for divers looking to complete certifications, practice skills, or test new gear in a safe and clear environment, regardless of external weather conditions.
