This dive site offers a diverse underwater experience centered around two nearby islands, Bartholomew and Santiago. The area is characterized by moderate currents at Bartholomew, with a notable platform at approximately 10 meters providing habitat for various reef fish. Extending from this platform are underwater cliffs reaching depths of around 15 meters, creating opportunities to encounter pelagic species. Cousins presents a different profile, typically experiencing calmer conditions, particularly as a reef and wall dive. Here, the focus shifts towards endemic black coral found on the walls and a cleaning station supporting numerous marine life interactions. The area is teeming with activity including white-tipped reef sharks, barracudas, turtles, sea lions, Galapagos sharks, eagle rays, and diverse invertebrates. At surface intervals, penguins can be observed. The site provides a range of possibilities for experienced divers seeking encounters with these fascinating creatures.
