This dive site features the Vera-K, a Lebanese freighter that met a dramatic end in 1974 after being used for target practice. The wreck now lies submerged within a crater at a depth of approximately 11 meters, offering an intriguing exploration opportunity. A prominent feature is the crater’s shallow rim, ranging from 5 to 7 meters deep – ideal for snorkelers and those new to diving. Accessing the wreck involves descending into the crater near the bridge, which remains fairly intact. While swimming through the bridge itself is no longer possible due to the explosion, the rear of the bridge provides a clear view inside, revealing sections that are slowly crumbling. The side sections of the vessel host a diverse community of marine life, including octopus and cuttlefish. A large archway with multiple entrances and swim-throughs further enhances the dive experience, extending to a maximum depth of 12 meters as you exit this area.
