About this dive site

This dive site, the Superior Producer, is renowned as one of the best wreck dives in the Caribbean. This cargo ship, which sank in 1977, sits upright on a sandy bottom at a maximum depth of 30 meters between Double Reef and the entrance to St. Annabaai. Divers can explore the fascinating structure of the wreck, including its openly accessible cargo bay, making for an engaging and memorable underwater navigation experience.

The Superior Producer is a thriving artificial reef, heavily encrusted with diverse marine life. It is covered with numerous colonies and different species of colorful corals, sponges, gorgonians, and sea whips. The wreck also attracts schools of predatory fish, including impressive Tarpons, Barracudas, Snappers, and Jacks, offering fantastic opportunities for observation and photography.

While no specific best time to visit is mentioned, Curaçao generally offers excellent diving conditions year-round. Divers should possess good buoyancy control, especially if venturing into the cargo bay, to protect the delicate coral growth and navigate the wreck safely. This site is primarily suited for scuba diving, offering a captivating experience for intermediate divers.
