This dive site, located on the leeward side of Bonaire and representing the southernmost point of that coast, offers a unique experience. It’s easily accessible and immediately recognizable by its historic orange slave huts – a poignant reminder of the island's past. Please treat this area with respect due to its historical significance. An additional landmark is an orange obelisk serving as a navigational reference for ships from bygone eras. The site can present moderate to strong currents, so careful observation of the water from shore and utilizing surface buoys to predict current flow are recommended. Entry requires a few careful steps down to reach the shore, but the descent itself is straightforward. For safety, it's advisable to dive with a qualified professional. To the right of the site lies a vibrant coral reef teeming with diverse fish species and numerous coral formations. Underwater navigation is facilitated by natural sand paths that can be counted as you proceed.
